Wasteland explorers are being trained across all stats. As my vault improves I'll have an excess of workers, so I'll try to train everyone in endurance and possibly strength/perception. Personally, I'm training the primary stat and luck for my stay-at-home dwellers, though I'm phasing out diners/gardens and water production as I introduce more Nuka Cola bottlers. In the wastes, success against a specific enemy type seems to be influenced by a specific stat (excluding endurance which seems to be a purely defensive stat). Now I am wondering how does a person go about creating an image of a completed weapons section of the VDSG. I saw this archived post and while it was very useful to guess which weapons I havent crafted yet, it was not updated, which was understandable. Handy and Preston Garvey were added in version 1.1, and the Mysterious Stranger and Piper were added in version 1.2. Dwellers added through updates are based on Fallout 4.
Strength may increase damage (though it's not certain this applies within the vault) and perception may increase aim/hit rate and thus overall damage. I believe the weapons section is complete anyways, if 183/183 is the true total. The original twenty legendary dwellers available in Fallout Shelter version 1.0 are based on characters from Fallout 3. (see this question and the links within the answer). However, there is some thought that some of the SPECIAL stats affect combat. The only difference based on level is the dweller's total hit points, and the cost to revive them. Higher is the dragon maw.Better is the mirv (fat man group) and the vengeance (laser gatling gun group) Stats do not affect damage, so your avg dmg output is still only 25. Agility and intelligence are probably a waste of time for dwellers who won't be exploring the wastes.
